alter mhenlo's skill bar in GWEN
just a thing that I have found that could improve the ability of hench monks...remove vigirous spirit from mhenlo's bar...it is used so terribly because of the bad AI on it...so thats it..remove it as its so badly used as this could probs help with improving monk hench...not the AI but an improvement in the hench!
this may have been said before but I am about to go to work and haven't got time to check!

OP: Henches are meant to be kinda weaker than players and heroes. Vigorous spirit is liability, but i can guarantee you, Mhelo as he is is much better than most human or hero monks.

That wouldn't be too bad actually, as I've wanted that option since I got Nightfall. However, I'm still a bit iffy considering henchies don't suffer from DP(which is probably the only good thing about them) and Heores do, unless I'm mistaken?
Edit: Okay, thanks for the clear up. ^_^
And yes, I'd definitely like to see an option for a hero party.

You are. Henchies do suffer from DP.
Wipe once on the boss in HoS, and watch Pyroclastic Blast wipe you in 1 hit if you're a grouped party.

There's a bug with hero's DP.
Sometimes when a hero has a morale boost, he doesn't suffer from DP the next times he dies. But other then that, yes, they suffer DP

the question was really about henchmen and their DP. with heroes, you probably gave one of them [[death pact]. if the person who was rezzed dies then whoever used DPS dies also but doesn't suffer from death penalty. or maybe they got hit by a boulder or something like that, no DP from those deaths either.
on topic, i definitely think mhenlo could do without vigorous spirit. that skill is one of two reasons i don't take him. the other being he doesn't have aegis on his bar.

imo they should never had added heroes to the game,insted make henchman in to heroes,imagine having mhenlo on your team with your skill bar of choice and equipment of choice

EN builds are an improvement as stated above this post. I do wish that the older bars were improved though. and what was said about henchmen becoming heroes, that would be grand for the 5 henchmen that are in all games (Devona, Cynn, Eve, Mhenlo, Aiden). Make Devona use a sword for once, like in the trailer for Prophecies.

They're better than before. So? Mhenlo in EOTN still has Vigorous Spirit and Orison of healing. And Lina in EOTN has Guardian, but no Aegis. Are we supposed to be happy about that?

Use the Hero Ogden which you get as soon as you get to GW:EN.
People bitch about the henchmen too much. Stop being cheap and
setup/use your heros. Its what they are for.
